ROFEH International Award

Dr. Joseph Feuerstein is the Clinical Chief of Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is an Attending in the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the GI lead for the Beth Israel Lahey Colorectal Cancer Safety Net program. Dr. Feuerstein’s research focuses on quality and outcomes in gastroenterology, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. He has published over 190 manuscripts and edited multiple books on these topics, and has won multiple awards locally and nationally including annual recognition as one of Boston’s Top Doctors in Boston Magazine since 2020, Rising Healthcare Leader in IBD in 2019, and the AGA Outstanding Service Award in 2021.

Dr. Feuerstein is an involved member of Congregation Bais Pinchas, as well as a vital resource for ROFEH’s referral network. He gives generously of his time and expertise to aid and assist community members and ROFEH patients.

Grand Rabbi Levi Y. Horowitz Legacy Award

Mr. Mark Manin is is an accomplished financial consultant who worked with governments and private companies on issues relating to their health care and retirement programs. He has generously shared this expertise with the greater Boston Jewish community, including local Jewish day schools, and recently served as Chair of the Finance Committee for Torah Academy. He is a recognized for his dedication to tefilla at Congregation Bais Pinchas, his years of participation in Daf Yomi shiurim, and his on-going support of Jewish education, both locally and abroad. Mr. Manin will be honored in appreciation of his service to Congregation Bais Pinchas, ROFEH, and the New England Chassidic Center.

A Special Tribute

The legacy of Mr. Zev Sack as a member of Congregation Bais Pinchas, and a cornerstone of the Boston Jewish community, is not easily quantifiable. His spirit of involvement, commitment to meeting the needs of others in every role he undertook, unfailing dedication to elevating our community, and unparalleled derech eretz have had a lasting impact on all of us. Together with all the people to whom he meant so much, ROFEH welcomes the opportunity to honor his memory.
